ICO

ICOs, better known as Initial Coin Offerings. They've become popular fundraising mechanisms within the cryptocurrency and blockchain space to raise capital. During an ICO, the project sells a portion of its newly issued crypto tokens to early backers in exchange for legal tender or other cryptocurrencies, often Bitcoin or Ethereum. This process allows investors to support new initiatives with the potential for profit, should the project succeed and the value of its tokens increase.
